The summer school programme
is an
Erasmus Mobility Project initiative organized by Vern University and Vern's four partner universities: Chodkowska University from Warsaw, Poland; University of Applied Sciences in Vaasa, Finland; University for tourism – Turistica from Portorož, Slovenia; and Faculty of Commercial and Business Sciences from Celje, University of Celje, Slovenia. The theme and title of this summer's program is "Empowerment for Sustainability and Sustainable Tourism Development," and Vern's International University Center in Vis has been selected as an attractive location for international students and academics with an interest in sustainable tourism.
The summer school's goal
is to encourage the cooperation and exchange of knowledge and ideas among students and lecturers in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment. It is stimulating knowledge and skills acquisition and innovation in the fields of entrepreneurship, competitiveness, sustainable development and environment protection.
International University Center Vis
is envisaged as a place where the students and academic experts from all over the world will meet and work on academic, social and entrepreneurship related issues. The island's isolation, natural beauty and a rich cultural-historical heritage create a unique atmosphere for undisturbed academic work and other extracurricular activities.
