A new cycle of Erasmus Summer School starts in September at VERN's Center on the island of Vis
A second international Erasmus Summer School will be held in September at VERN’s International University Center Vis and it will bring together students from VERN’ and partner universities from Finland, Poland and Slovenia.
Summer School entitled "Empowerment for Sustainability and Sustainable Tourism Development", will run for two weeks, from 1st to 14th September 2013. Students will attend a variety of lectures, workshops, discussions and analysis on the topic of entrepreneurship, tourism, economy, innovation and competitiveness in the context of sustainable development. Besides that, they will collaborate with local entrepreneurs to develop business projects and visit various tourist attractions.
As the school is held in the framework of the Erasmus program of the European Union for international mobility of students and lecturers, students and professors from the University of Applied Sciences of Vaasa (FI), Helena Chodkowska University of Warsaw (PL), Faculty of tourism - Turistica from Portoroz (SI) and the Faculty of Commercial and Business Sciences from Celje (SI), will join our students and professors.
The idea of Summer School is to foster mutual cooperation and exchange of ideas among students and professors in the intercultural and multidisciplinary environment, with the aim of acquiring new and applicable knowledge. Summer school program is fully financed from the funds for intensive mobility programs Erasmus mobility.
